Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robotic vacuum cleaners and mops are a great method of quickly cleaning up mess. The best robot vacuums and mops that I have tested have top-notch mapping and navigation as well as the ability to remove Cheerios wires, tangled wires and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
They're also user-friendly using an application that lets you plan cleaning tasks and track what they're doing.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the most efficient robot mop and vacuum combination. It comes with the most recent features. This premium vacuum is quick and agile and picked up pet hair and human dander almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It has a sleek app interface that comes with a miniature map of your home, as well as buttons on the screen for manual control.
The S8's Dirt Detection Technology enables it to change the cleaning mode based on the level of dirt. It will pause and clean its mopping pad more often when it encounters dust, while it will prioritize carpeted areas to mop with a damp pad.
It has a variety of other innovative features as well, including a different dock that connects to the plumbing in your home to clean and wash the mop roller, without having you to manually refill it. You can also use voice commands with the S8's built-in voice assistant, saying "Hey Rocky" to specify the cleaning of your room, modes, and granular controls with your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those seeking a hands-free robot vacuum that can also mop. It's one of a variety of robot vacuums that also include mops but comes at a cheaper price than most of the competition.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little bit of work in order to start, including creating an account on the official app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once you've completed that, the robot will begin to vacuum and mop easily.
It's important to note that the mapping process can take some time, and it may take a few times before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate picture of your space. The object detection is also an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able to skirt around furniture and other obstacles but it was stuck on a rug with tassels and required a flip to release itself. These are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of an all-purpose cleaning tool that can do it all.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete delivers a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features a rotating motion that is similar to hand scrubbing. This results in floors being cleaned and not just cleaned. The detachable stick vacuum is a game changer that allows you to reach spots even robotic vacuums aren't able to reach.
This model is essentially identical to the well-known X2 Omni but with a slightly higher suction power of 8,700Pa as well as a few other smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor can learn your home's layout better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The smart app lets you adjust various settings, including scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping, with both the robot vacuum and mop returning to their charging station after each task to wash their pads, empty their dust bins and place debris into a self-sealing bag. This helps keep the system clean and also prevents allergens from circulating. And its battery lifespan is long enough to handle large spaces without the need for a recharge during cleaning.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a premium robot vacuum and mop that has impressive features for an affordable price. It features powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a moving floor brush for carpets and an excellent obstacle-avoiding. It also has a unique mopping method, which uses a roller continuously doused with water to pull up dirt and deposit it in the water that is dirty tank.
Its navigation technology was effective in navigating close to walls without crashing and avoiding steps. However, it did struggle with fine engrained debris and wasn't always able to get rid of raised thresholds for rooms. Its operating noise level is also relatively high, which suggests it could be less of a "set-and-forget" model than others.
As with most robotic vacuums and mop cleaners, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that allows you to refill its clean water, empty its dustbin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easier and lets the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors according to a regular schedule. You can control all its functions using the Eufy app, which provides an easy overview and lots of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is one of the best mowers and vacuums on the market. It provides impressive vacuuming and mopping results. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with decent precision. The app allows users to fine-tune map coverage, create no-go zones, and modify cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush is specifically designed to prevent hair from wrapping itself around it. This can be a major problem with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too and comes with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and exert up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is also equipped with intelligent carpet detection, which lifts these pads upward when they're near soft surfaces to avoid contaminating them with.
The docking station functions as an automated maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops, then refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station comes with an integrated dust removal system that compacts dust, which allows for seven weeks of maintenance-free operation.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars more than the S8, this robot does an excellent job of keeping my home office clean and can also tackle the corners of my cramped apartment. It uses a laser mapping system and camera to create a 3D-map of your home, so it can know what to stay clear of. It has an object/obstacle detector that can block things like toys and dog bowls (but not Poop) unlike most vacuums.
Other fantastic features include a self emptying dustbin as well as a mop that's self-washing, adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops miss. You can also customize the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
It has the same multi-room smart mapping feature as the S8 and is able to distinguish between laminate and carpets with high-pile rug. If you're looking to cut down on time, it can even skip cleaning rooms that aren't soiled. If you have several types of flooring in your home and don't want to spend more money on a Roborock that has advanced mapping capabilities it is an excellent option.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is an excellent choice when you're seeking a flexible robot that can do both regular daily maintenance and touch-ups to wet messes. It offers a broad range of features, including a self-emptying dustbin and the water refill dock, and adjustable settings within the app. It's surprisingly quiet and can navigate around furniture legs and socks effortlessly. However, it isn't able to pick up tangled rug tassels and it's battery drains faster than other models we tested in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a beast that comes with powerful suction and convenient automation, all in a sleek and stylish. It didn't score quite as well in our vacuuming and mopping tests like the expensive Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however, it did extremely well overall. It also comes with a range of cleaning modes to suit your needs, from the low-power 'Quiet' option for lightweight debris to the more powerful 'Turbo' option for rooms with carpet. It can even be programmed to remove and reconnect mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for those who live in small spaces. It's quick and quiet and it is able to navigate tight spaces well. It also does a excellent job of pulling pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has decent suction power and can be set to take photos of each object it picks (i.e. chew toys, socks), and mark them in the app as "not found' to ensure that they are not removed in future cleanings. The photos are secured and aren't linked to your account.
It is great at vacuuming, but not as good at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes you clip onto the bottom of the bot and it essentially drags them across your floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal, which come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
